Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Brunhart AI ("Brunhart AI", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use FactoryBuddy and related services. By using FactoryBuddy you agree to the practices described here.
1. What we collect
To deliver the slip-extraction and ledger service, FactoryBuddy collects the following:
- Trade slip images — photographs of handwritten chits you choose to scan.
- Voice recordings — short audio clips when you use voice input in Hindi, Punjabi, or English.
- Trade & customer data you enter into the app: party names, weights, purities, rates, invoices, and related ledger entries.
- Account information — your name, business name, phone number, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google account email address.
- Basic device and usage data — app version, device model, and crash diagnostics — used solely to keep the app working.
2. How we use it
We use the information above only to provide and improve the FactoryBuddy service. Specifically:
- Slip images and voice recordings are processed by AI models (including Google's Gemini, via Vertex AI) to extract trade fields and create ledger entries.
- Trade and customer data are stored against your account so you can view your ledger, generate GST invoices, and share them.
- Your Google account email — when you sign in with Google — is used solely to identify your account and to send you service-related communication.
- Aggregate, anonymised diagnostics may be used to fix bugs and improve accuracy.
3. Google user data & Limited Use
FactoryBuddy's use of information received from Google APIs (including any Google user data accessed via OAuth, such as your Google account email) adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This means we use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing features of FactoryBuddy that are prominent in the app's user interface. We do not use Google user data to serve advertising, do not sell or transfer it to third parties for unrelated purposes, and do not allow humans to read it except where (a) you have given explicit consent, (b) it is necessary for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), (c) it is required to comply with applicable law, or (d) the data has been aggregated and anonymised so it cannot identify any individual.
4. Where data is stored
Data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure located in India (Mumbai region), on Google Cloud and Supabase. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to the founding team and protected with multi-factor authentication. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
5. We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, your trade data, or your customer data to any third party. Ever. Your ledger is yours.
6. Sharing with service providers
We share data with a small set of service providers strictly to operate FactoryBuddy — for example, Google Cloud and Vertex AI for hosting and AI processing, and Supabase for the application database. These providers process data on our instructions and under their own privacy and security commitments.
7. Retention
We retain your account and ledger data for as long as your account is active. Raw slip images and voice recordings may be retained for a limited period to improve extraction quality on your account, and are deleted on account closure or on request.
8. Your rights & deletion requests
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time. Email founder@brunhartai.uk from the address linked to your account. We will action verified requests within 30 days.
9. Children
FactoryBuddy is a business tool and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you inside the app or by email.
